Jamie approaches litigation and trial with the determination and dedication of a competitive athlete.
Jamie divides her practice between traditional (automotive, tire, saws, machines, etc.) product liability cases and general commercial litigation matters, with a focus on real estate and breach of contract disputes. She manages the tire defect litigation in the Mountain West territory for the largest U.S. tire manufacturer and do-it-yourself moving and storage company in the United States, and she has tried cases to verdict throughout the country. Jamie also supports her local skiing and outdoors industry in Colorado whenever possible, representing ski companies, developers, and ski resorts, advising on business disputes, assessing risk, and engaging in litigation when necessary.
Primarily a trial attorney, Jamie is known for being the most prepared attorney in any courtroom or negotiation. Her strength lies in her ability to connect with people—with her own team, with clients, with judges and juries, and when necessary and appropriate, with opposing counsel. Jamie understands the importance of communication in court and at trial, and she has a gift for connecting and persuading judges and jury to see the dispute from the client’s perspective.
Alongside her own legal practice, Jamie is co-leader of the firm’s Commercial Litigation group firmwide, working with partners across the firm to staff cases and ensure that clients receive the best service possible. The role has given her a big picture view of matter staffing, client needs, and trends in the practice area. It’s also encouraged her own passion for collaboration: a former Division I athlete and a Stanford field hockey team captain during her undergraduate years, Jamie cares deeply about teamwork and putting the team’s best foot forward. Her team-focused approach carries over to her law practice, where she partners closely with clients to ensure their voices are heard and that they are fully on board with all litigation strategies.
Jamie’s athletic background also influences her work ethic—she will work tirelessly on a case because she’s determined to win for the client, and she has a reputation as a tenacious advocate willing to put in the effort necessary to achieve victories in high-stakes cases.
