Events
Our St. Louis office's Summer Associates have many opportunities to get to know our Partners and Associates. For example, in addition to several informal, spur-of-the-moment lunches and happy hours with our attorneys, our 2007 St. Louis Summer Program featured the following events:
- Welcome Happy Hour: The Summer Associates enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere on our amenity deck while getting to know one another and our attorneys.
- Bowling Night: When they had time to "spare," the Summer Associates and their significant others enjoyed our Bowling Night.
- Progressive Dinner or Happy Hour: The benefit of several attorneys living within walking distance of one another affords the opportunity for a progressive dinner or happy hour. Our Summer Associates and attorneys enjoyed gathering with one another at several homes throughout the night.
- Scavenger Hunt: The Clayton-wide scavenger hunt was a fun event in which our Summer Associates strengthened friendships, built professional relationships, and got to know the lay of the land.
- Poker Party: Summer Associates and their significant others relished bluffing their way through the annual summer program poker party.
- Cardinals Baseball Games: In our stadium box, the St. Louis Summer Associates cheered on the World Series Champions in their new, beyond-comparison Busch Stadium.
- Practice Group Lunches: The Summer Associates had the opportunity to learn about each of our practice groups at a weekly practice group lunch.
- Seminars: Senior Partners and mid-level Associates presented informative seminars for the Summer Associates. The "Buying Your First Home" seminar is always a favorite.
- Pro Bono Seminar and Lunch: Our Director of Pro Bono Services, Jennifer Schwendemann, met with the St. Louis Summer Associates to discuss our commitment to pro bono representation. We encourage all of our attorneys, including Summer Associates, to do pro bono work in the community.
- Firmwide Event: Each of our city's Summer Associates met in St. Louis for an opportunity to learn more about us. Of course, several social activities allowed friendships to be made across our offices.
- Farewell Happy Hour: An opportunity to say goodbye to new friends and colleagues.
