Events
Our Summer Program is designed to provide Summer Associates the opportunity to get to know our attorneys both personally and professionally. We provide numerous opportunities throughout the summer for our attorneys to introduce Summer Associates to life at our firm as well as the community of Memphis. Typical summer events have included:
- Memphis Redbirds Games: Enjoy watching America's favorite pastime from the comfort of our club level seats at AutoZone Park. Centered in the heart of downtown, AutoZone Park offers an opportunity to catch great minor league baseball (the St. Louis Cardinals' AAA affiliate) and then branch out to other entertainment within the area.
- Rooftop Parties: Two of Memphis' most prestigious hotels offer some of Memphis' premier live bands every Thursday evening throughout the summer atop their roofs. While enjoying an opportunity to take in some spectacular views of the city, Summer Associates will meet and mingle with other young professionals amidst an energetic atmosphere of great music.
- Bowling Party: Test your bowling skills against our personnel when we hit the lanes for an evening of cosmic bowling at Jillian's.
- Attorney Luncheons: Attorneys and Summer Associates frequently lunch together. The lunches provide an excellent opportunity for the attorneys and Summer Associates to get to know each other in an atmosphere other than the office.
- After Work Social Hours: Kick back, relax and enjoy Memphis' culture and entertainment. Downtown is packed with great restaurants, pubs and lounges. Attorneys and Summer Associates enjoy getting together after hours, providing an excellent opportunity for the Summer Associates to get to know their peers and the attorneys with whom they work.
- Firmwide Summer Associate Event: Get to know your fellow Summer Associates firmwide during a fun-filled day of social events and mingling.
- Dinner with Memphis: A catered event at one of our attorney's homes with spouses and significant others invited. Good food, good friends, and a classy way to top off the summer.
- Farewell Lunch: The summer experience closes at a lunch spot of the Summer Associates' choice. We generally end up in a place of classic Memphis food and spend the lunch reminiscing the summer's journey for the fond farewell.
