Summer Programs: Chattanooga, TN
Overview
The goal of the Summer Associate program in our Chattanooga office is to provide Summer Associates with a "real life" experience to supplement their law school curriculum. Summer Associates can expect to receive a wide range of assignments from all of the practice groups represented in the Chattanooga office. Summer Associates are typically not assigned to one individual practice area or attorney. We believe in providing exposure to as many areas of law, and as many different attorneys, as possible. Summer Associates are also encouraged to attend events away from the office, such as depositions, closings, court hearings, trials, etc.
One unique aspect of the Chattanooga Summer Associate program is that we maintain two separate offices in Chattanooga. Our downtown office has attorneys in virtually every practice area: corporate, litigation, estate planning, real estate and insolvency. Our Hamilton Place office is located about ten miles east of downtown Chattanooga. Our attorneys at the Hamilton Place office focus primarily on commercial real estate, securities law and insolvency.
Our Summer Associate program is not all work. We have an active social program, with several parties and gatherings scheduled throughout the summer. The traditional end of the year float trip is an eagerly anticipated event. Attorneys in our Chattanooga office are also encouraged to take Summer Associates to lunch and to gather informally after work.
Our Summer Associate program in the Chattanooga office is a vital component in growing our firm. It is our intent to hire top-notch people who will succeed as associates, and eventually partners, in our office.
