Summer Programs: Chattanooga, TN
Mentoring
All Summer Associates are assigned a mentor. The mentor is usually a senior associate or newer partner who has, undoubtedly, been through the same experiences and situations that may be new to Summer Associates. Mentors monitor Summer Associates' workloads and are available to answer any questions that Summer Associates may have. We encourage open and frank exchange between Summer Associates and mentors. A mentor is a person with whom Summer Associates should freely discuss any issue that is of concern.
Additionally, we typically hold a meeting of all Summer Associates and mentors at least once every other week. This permits Summer Associates and mentors to discuss issues that have arisen and to find innovative solutions to those issues. Again, we encourage open and frank exchange during these meetings.
We want to ensure that each Summer Associate has the best possible experience. We are a collegial office, and we believe that the mentor program is a helpful tool in allowing Summer Associates to feel at home in our office while at the same time gaining valuable experience and producing superior work product.
