Events
Chattanooga's Summer Associates have many opportunities to get to know our attorneys. In addition to several informal, spur-of-the-moment get-togethers, our Chattanooga Summer Program typically plans the following events:
- Welcome Party: Summer Associates and attorneys enjoy a poolside evening at the Chattanooga Golf & Country Club. This is an informal setting and families/significant others are encouraged to attend.
- Friday Happy Hours: We encourage Summer Associates and attorneys to participate in informal Friday Happy Hours in vibrant downtown Chattanooga. These are often held in conjunction with Nightfall, a series of outdoor music concerts held two blocks from our downtown office every Friday during the summer.
- Riverbend Party: Each year in June, Chattanooga hosts the famous week-long Riverbend Music Festival. Combining big-name performers and virtually every type of music imaginable, this is an event that all of the Southeast turns out to see. We typically have this party on a Friday. Most folks stop by the party and then head to the festivities in time to hear the headliner for the evening. You can check out the list of this year's performers at www.riverbendfestival.com.
- Chattanooga Lookouts Baseball Games: The Lookouts are a minor league affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. Summer Associates cheer on the Lookouts in our stadium suite.
- Firmwide Trip to St. Louis: Each of our city's Summer Associates meet in St. Louis for an opportunity to learn more about our firm. Several social activities are planned so that friendships can be made across our offices.
- Float Trip: Summer Associates, families and significant others are invited for a day on one of the fantastic rivers near Chattanooga. Past trips have ranged from leisurely float trips down the Hiwassee River to fast-paced whitewater rafting on the Ocoee River, a venue for the 1996 Olympics.
- Farewell Party: An opportunity to say farewell to new friends and colleagues.
